W J Fire was founded in October 2000 and has grown steadily. We have expertise in every field of fire safety and can look after you, your premises and staff. The directors Larry, James and Kevin have at least 20 years experience each in the industry.
All of the equipment is supplied and maintained to the current British Standard by our fully qualified engineers giving you peace of mind.
We supply a certificate and location list covering all equipment following every visit.
We carry out Fire Risk Assessments which are produced to meet the requirements of The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 at your premises. This assessment should also form part of the overall strategy for Total Loss Control.
Kevin is the Co founder and a director of W J Fire.
He has been in the industry since 1991 as a fire extinguisher engineer. He retrained and is the company's Fire Risk Assessor and staff fire trainer. When not at work Kevin is a keen cyclist and walker and enjoys the outdoors, so looks good in lycra. He also does the odd charity event and challenge when the mood takes and has been known to play the panto dame in various amateur dramatics.
Larry is a director of W J Fire.
He entered the industry a long time ago in 1987 and must know what he is doing by now! As the company's fire extinguisher section director, he keeps the engineers in check and out at work all day. His interests are walking and domestic repairs. In the summer you will always find him in the back garden setting light to the BBQ and other things.
James is the third director of W J Fire.
James qualified as an electrical engineer in 1993. Working for a few companies before starting up his own business. He joined W J Fire in 2012 and has grown the fire alarm side of the business very quickly. His main interests are driving his beloved Lotus around the track and kicking back with a fishing rod at the weekends.
Di has worked for W J Fire since 2009 and is the company book keeper/office manager. She is also the credit controller so don’t cross her! Her main job is to keep all of us guys in line and runs the office with a steel rod. Di relaxes with Ebay and enjoys clothes shopping and a boot fetish and is rarely seen in the same outfit twice. She also likes walking her dogs at 5am to keep fit, really?
Konrad is our newest recruit and has fitted in to the team seamlessly. He has spent the last 10 years in the petrochemical industry and had a good understanding of fire extinguishers and health and safety prior to joining us. He has qualified with distinction and looks after our customers. His main interest is sitting on the side of a big pond with a fishing rod (luckily without a pointed hat!).
Karl joined the industry in 1999 where he worked with Kevin and Larry. He kept in touch with Larry throughout his career and joined W J Fire in the spring of 2011. Karl has numerous interests outside work including classic cars and trying to keep fit.
